- This release challenges conventions in Indian single malt production.

On March 24, 2026, Piccadily Agro Industries Limited, in partnership with The Dram Club, unveiled Indri Rudhira, a distinctive Indian single malt whisky. This limited release is notable as India's first single malt to be matured in Pineau des Charentes casks, a fortified wine from France's Cognac region.
The company has produced only 252 individually numbered bottles of Indri Rudhira. Each bottle is presented at 50% ABV and carries a price tag of ₹12,500. Currently, its availability is restricted to Bengaluru.
Indri Rudhira, distilled at Piccadily Agro's facility in Haryana, is a lightly peated expression. The use of these specific French casks represents an innovative maturation technique not previously seen in the Indian single malt industry.
Shalini Sharma, Head of Marketing at Piccadily Agro, stated that Rudhira marks a "new chapter" for Indri and Indian single malts, emphasizing the goal of challenging conventions. Swati Sharma, Co-Founder of The Dram Club, highlighted the collaboration as a reflection of increasing interest among Indian whisky enthusiasts for unique and collectible single malts.
