India US Trade Talks: A Deal on the Horizon?

India and the United States are scheduled to hold crucial trade talks on June 23 and 24, aiming to finalize the first tranche of a proposed bilateral trade agreement (BTA). A delegation from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) will meet with Indian officials to make final adjustments to this initial phase and continue discussions on a broader trade pact.

This meeting follows an earlier round of negotiations held in early June, where both countries addressed various trade-related issues including market access, non-tariff barriers, and customs procedures.
