India-Belgium Aviation Ties Take Flight

This collaboration comes as India and the European Union are nearing the finalization of a Free Trade Agreement. Expected to be signed by December 2026 and implemented by early 2027, the FTA is poised to significantly boost Indian exports by providing near-zero duty access to the European market.
The agreement anticipates substantial benefits for India's labor-intensive sectors like fisheries and textiles, alongside increased exports of chemicals and pharmaceuticals. India, in turn, will eliminate tariffs on a significant portion of its imports, marking a crucial step in strengthening economic relations with the EU bloc.
