Electric mobility platform Bhago Mobility has formed a strategic partnership with Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) and Honda Power Pack Energy India (HEID). This collaboration is set to deploy electric two-wheelers, initially in Delhi and Bengaluru, with a comprehensive nationwide rollout planned over the next three years.
The initiative is specifically designed to support delivery partners, ride-hailing drivers, and last-mile logistics workers. It offers a unified, subscription-based model that bundles access to electric vehicles, convenient battery swapping services, necessary compliance support, and essential technology infrastructure.
HMSI will supply the electric two-wheelers, leveraging its manufacturing and engineering capabilities for vehicles designed for high-utilization commercial use. Complementing this, HEID will facilitate near-instant battery replacements, a critical feature for ensuring minimal operational downtime for the workforce.
This tripartite platform aims to address significant challenges faced by urban mobility workers, such as high initial vehicle costs, lengthy charging downtimes, maintenance concerns, and regulatory complexities. By integrating vehicle access with energy infrastructure, the goal is to enhance worker uptime and boost earning potential across India.
