Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has voiced strong optimism that Tesla will select the state for its inaugural electric vehicle manufacturing plant in India. Addressing the inauguration of the first all-in-one Tesla India Motors center in Gurugram, Saini detailed the state's proactive measures to foster a conducive business environment.
The Chief Minister underscored Haryana's robust industrial landscape, particularly in automotive and IT sectors, and its success in improving the ease of doing business, positioning it as a manufacturing powerhouse. Initiatives such as a special leasing policy for industrial plots and strengthening local supply chains are aimed at reducing business costs and enhancing the state's appeal to global investors.
Further bolstering Haryana's investment-friendly image, Saini highlighted a significant surge in the state's exports, now exceeding ₹2.75 lakh crore, up from ₹70,000 crore before 2014. The state's commitment to innovation is also evident through the establishment of AI hubs and a Department of the Future, signaling its readiness to embrace emerging technologies and attract advanced manufacturing.
