Gucci has appointed Giovanni Perosino as its new senior vice president of marketing, a role he will assume on December 15th. Perosino transitions to the luxury fashion house from Maserati, where he served as global chief marketing officer. His extensive background includes over 25 years in brand strategy and communications, with previous senior leadership positions at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Audi, Lamborghini, and ITA Airways.
This appointment by Kering, Gucci's parent company, continues a pattern of integrating expertise from the automotive industry into its luxury brands. Perosino will report to Dario Gargiulo, the recently appointed chief client, marketing, and commercial officer, and will lead Gucci's global marketing and communications divisions. This strategic hiring underscores Gucci's ongoing turnaround initiative.
Further strengthening the executive team, Gianluca De Ficchy has been named Gucci's chief financial officer. De Ficchy also comes from the automotive sector, having previously been CEO of Mobilize within the Renault Group. These leadership changes, including recent departures and new regional heads, signal a significant reshuffling as Gucci aims to redefine its market position and strategy.
