The European Commission has granted approval for €400 million in state aid to Greece, earmarked for strategic investments in clean technology. The initiative will bolster the production capacity for zero-emission technologies, including critical components and raw materials.
Support will be disbursed via direct grants and fiscal incentives, available to enterprises across Greece until December 31, 2030. The Commission confirmed the scheme's necessity and proportionality in fostering clean industry and mitigating potential competition distortions.
The Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework, adopted on June 25, 2025, enables member states to support crucial sectors for a net-zero future. This includes measures for renewable energy, decarbonizing industry, and building clean technology capacity, such as battery and solar panel production.
