Govt to Release PM Kisan's 21st Installment Before Diwali 2025

As of October 16, 2025, the Indian government is preparing to release the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme before the upcoming Diwali festival. Under this program, eligible farmers across the country will receive INR 2,000 payments directly into their bank accounts.

The PM Kisan scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers, defined as those owning less than 2 hectares of cultivable land. The 21st installment is expected to benefit millions of farmers, helping them meet their agricultural and household expenses.

In some states, such as Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, the advance payments for this installment have already been made due to recent floods in those regions. Farmers in other parts of the country are anticipated to receive the funds in the coming days.

To be eligible for the PM Kisan scheme, farmers must be part of a landholding family and have their details registered with the respective state or union territory administrations. They must also have completed the e-KYC process and ensured their bank accounts are correctly linked to their Aadhaar numbers to receive the timely payments.
