Generac Surges on Strong Earnings & Upbeat Sales Outlook

Generac has raised its annual sales growth forecast, signaling strong future performance. This follows a first-quarter earnings report that exceeded analyst expectations. The company benefited from robust demand for backup power systems, spurred by frequent power outages due to extreme weather and ongoing grid reliability issues.

Significant growth was also observed in the commercial and industrial segment, which saw sales increase by approximately 28%. Generac is also gaining traction in the rapidly expanding data center market, securing a growing backlog from both new and existing hyperscale customers.

This strategic focus on customer demand led Generac to reshape its operating structure into Residential and Commercial & Industrial divisions. The company now projects 2026 net sales growth in the mid-to-high teens percentage range, an upward revision from its previous mid-teens forecast.
