US-based sustainable packaging manufacturer Genera has announced Asem Mokaddem as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mokaddem brings a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years in senior finance roles, including investment banking, corporate development, and manufacturing operations. He is eager to contribute to Genera's mission of providing eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Previously, Mokaddem served as president and CFO at Tellus Products, another sustainable moulded fibre producer. His background also includes executive positions at financial institutions like Rabobank and Macquarie Capital, where he advised Fortune 500 companies in the paper and packaging sectors. Genera anticipates his financial acumen will be vital for future growth.
Genera, based in Vonore, Tennessee, is a vertically integrated producer of plant-based moulded fibre packaging. The company champions a circular 'farm-to-compost' approach, partnering with local farmers to transform regenerative grasses into commercially compostable products. This follows a recent $340 million expansion of their manufacturing site completed in 2025.
