Under the first accord, GE Vernova is set to supply a gas turbine and associated generator for a new gas-fired power plant project in Malaysia. This facility is owned and developed by B.Grimm Power and is anticipated to reach commercial operation by the fourth quarter of 2029.
The second agreement establishes a 14-year services contract between the two companies. This contract will provide long-term operational support for five LM6000 gas turbine packages located at B.Grimm Power's Bangkadi 1 and 2 power plants in Thailand, ensuring their continued efficiency and reliability.
These strategic moves by GE Vernova and B.Grimm Power highlight the increasing investment in power generation and grid infrastructure across Southeast Asia. This trend is largely fueled by the burgeoning demand from data centers and other expanding industries within the region.
