Gateway Capital Partners has successfully reached the first close for its new $25 million target Fund II. This significant milestone, announced earlier this week, allows the venture firm to commence its investment activities.
Founded by Dana Guthrie, Gateway Capital began the fundraising process for Fund II in the middle of last year. The fund is structured to make average investments ranging from $500,000 to $600,000 per company. While industry-agnostic, the firm plans a strategic focus on Midwest industries presenting significant disruption opportunities, including supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing AI.
Guthrie expressed her ambition to support at least 20 companies through Fund II. Gateway Capital, established in 2020, previously raised its $13 million Fund I in the same year, demonstrating a consistent track record in venture capital.
