Fremantle Revenue Dips Amid US Slowdown
18 Nov, 2025
Summary
- Fremantle's revenue decreased 5.1% in the first nine months of 2025.
- Lower revenue from the U.S. is the primary reason for the decline.
- Fremantle still aims for €3 billion in medium-term revenues.

European TV and film production powerhouse Fremantle has reported a 5.1% decrease in revenues for the initial nine months of 2025, reaching €1.3 billion. This reduction is mainly due to lower revenue streams from its U.S. operations, a factor that was largely expected by its parent company, RTL Group.
The third quarter of 2025 saw a 4.5% dip in revenue to €447 million, with the acquisition of Asacha Media Group having a lesser contribution than anticipated. However, recent successes like a 'Baywatch' reboot order and a true crime series topping Netflix charts are viewed positively.
Looking ahead, Fremantle is targeting full-year revenues of €3 billion in the medium term. This ambition is supported by plans for acquiring smaller production firms and fostering creative partnerships, even as RTL Group revises its own full-year profit expectations downward.
