Shoppers in Ashfield can enjoy extended free parking throughout December. Ashfield District Council has announced that visitors will receive up to four hours of complimentary parking in all council-run car parks. This generous offer applies from Monday to Saturday across Sutton-in-Ashfield, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, and Hucknall.
The initiative is a repeat of last year's successful scheme, designed to invigorate local high streets and provide crucial support to independent businesses and market traders during the festive season. The extended parking time is double the usual allowance, making shopping trips more accessible and appealing.
