Fortis Healthcare Ltd. has finalized agreements to acquire People Tree Hospital, a multi-specialty facility in Bengaluru, for a total transaction value of ₹430 crore, inclusive of debt. The acquisition is being managed through Fortis's subsidiary, International Hospital Ltd.
This composite transaction encompasses the hospital premises and land, plus an adjacent plot, positioning Fortis to expand its footprint in Bengaluru. The company intends to invest an additional ₹410 crore over the next three years to boost bed capacity to over 300, upgrade medical equipment, and introduce new clinical programs.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of January 2026. Fortis Healthcare's CEO stated the deal aligns with their strategy to leverage scale and synergies, reinforcing their presence in Bengaluru where they currently operate seven facilities.
