Ford Recalls Near 1M Vehicles Amid Quality Claims

A recall on July 20 affected 387,911 vehicles due to seat defects posing injury risks. Just days later, on July 24, 565,691 Ford Bronco SUVs (model years 2021-26) were recalled due to an increased fire risk associated with their engine wiring harness.
These recent recalls follow Ford's aggressive marketing campaign launched on July 4, highlighting its top ranking in the JD Power Initial Quality Survey. Ford spokesman Mike Levine stated that while these recalls impact newer vehicles, they are largely due to designs predating enhanced testing. He noted that recalls have decreased by 38% compared to the same period last year, indicating fewer unique defects in newer models.
