Ford markets the Ranger as an capable off-road vehicle, but Keller doubts its ability to even complete a journey on sealed roads. He fears breakdowns in remote areas could be dangerous, requiring owners to carry extensive equipment.
Another Ford Ranger owner, Matthew Patruno from Sydney, is also in a legal dispute with Ford over similar issues. His vehicle reportedly lost power and required multiple services within months of purchase. Patruno claims his $85,000 Ranger Raptor experienced power loss, oil issues, and needed servicing three times in ten months, significantly impacting his family's travel plans.
