Duran Takes Finance Helm at Expanding Fogo de Chão

Fogo de Chão has appointed Daniel Duran as its new Chief Financial Officer, with the promotion taking effect on July 20. Duran, who most recently served as SVP of financial planning and analysis and investor relations, succeeds Tony Laday, who announced his retirement in April after 12 years. Duran joined Fogo de Chão in November, following a four-year tenure at BJ's Restaurants and a decade at Hot Topic, where he held significant finance and strategy positions.

In his new capacity as CFO, Duran will be responsible for Fogo de Chão's overall financial direction, including planning, accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, and business analytics. CEO Barry McGowan expressed confidence in Duran's leadership, highlighting his strategic mindset and contributions to the company's decision-making and long-term success. The appointment coincides with Fogo de Chão's robust growth phase, which includes the opening of 16 new locations last year and a projected 14 to 16 openings in the current year, expanding its global footprint to a total of 122 restaurants.
