Flō Networks Eyes Axtel Acquisition for Digital Infrastructure

Flō Networks, a U.S.-based digital infrastructure provider, has revealed its intention to launch public tender offers to acquire Controladora Axtel and Axtel. The company operates its own fiber-optic network spanning Mexico, the Southwestern United States, and Latin America.

The proposed acquisition aims to merge the complementary networks and capabilities of both entities. Flō Networks believes this combination will foster a stronger digital infrastructure platform, enhancing scale, reach, and capacity to serve a broader customer base. The CEO of Flō Networks highlighted that this step aligns with the company's long-term vision for Mexico's economic and technological advancement.

This strategic move is expected to strengthen Flō's ability to invest in network resilience and expand its digital services portfolio. The combination is anticipated to generate significant operational and commercial synergies, supporting continuous investment in critical technologies. The transaction is also poised to create long-term value for stakeholders, including customers, employees, shareholders, and the communities served.

Flō has received preliminary approval from the Boards of Directors of both Axtel Companies. However, the commencement of the tender offers is contingent upon obtaining necessary regulatory approvals, including authorization from the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores and clearance from the Comisión Nacional Antimonopolio. Further contractual and corporate conditions must also be satisfied.
