Fidelity Bank has largely finalized its extensive $26 million project to transform the historic Scranton Electric Building into its corporate headquarters. The bank's president and CEO, Dan Santaniello, confirmed that employees have commenced moving into the 507 Linden St. building.
As of June 23, 2026, approximately 30 out of 170 employees have relocated, with the remainder expected to complete their move by mid-July. This transition follows significant renovations to the Scranton Electric Building and a major upgrade of a nearby parking lot.
Improvements to the parking facilities, located between North Washington Avenue and Dix Court, involved razing the former Mattes & Mattes building. The reconstructed parking lot is now accessible via Dix Court.
In conjunction with these moves, Fidelity Bank has closed its branch at 334-336 N. Washington Ave. The city of Scranton is in the process of purchasing this former branch for an annex to City Hall, with a closing anticipated in July.
