Fiat's compact, two-seat Topolino electric vehicle is now available for sale in the United States, beginning at $13,995. This unique EV offers a driving range of up to 46 miles on a full charge. Initially, the Topolino is designed for use in private communities, resorts, and golf courses, with a restricted top speed of 19 mph.
However, Fiat has announced that starting in late summer, owners will have the option to install a kit to convert their Topolinos into federally regulated Low-Speed Vehicles. This upgrade will permit higher speeds of up to 25 mph and allow access to certain public roads.
The Topolino EV, which first launched in Europe in 2023, revives the name of Fiat's historic 1930s model. It features a 5.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that can be fully charged in approximately five hours. This launch expands Fiat's North American offerings, complementing the electric 500e city car.
