Summary
- Feta Flav returned to its Greek cuisine roots in a new downtown spot.
- The restaurant reopened July 11 inside Oklawaha Brewing Company.
- Owners cited supplier price negotiations for the return to Greek food.

Hendersonville's Feta Flav has returned to its origins, reopening as a Greek restaurant within Oklawaha Brewing Company on 1st Avenue, just off Main Street. The owners, Alex and Ashleigh Baxevanis, previously closed Feta Flav at the end of last year due to rising ingredient costs and transformed it into Tater Babies Scratch Kitchen, a Southern-style eatery.
This pivot back to Feta Flav occurred rapidly after Tater Babies closed on July 3, with Feta Flav relaunching by July 11. The decision to return to Greek cuisine was facilitated by six months of negotiations with suppliers in Greece, which brought ingredient prices down to a manageable level. The restaurant is currently serving a pilot menu with plans for expansion, including Greek nachos and falafel.
Alex Baxevanis's father, George Baxevanis, was a well-known restaurateur in Hendersonville, owning Fisherman's Quarters, where Alex gained early culinary experience. The family's commitment to authentic Greek ingredients was a driving force behind the temporary closure and subsequent return. Feta Flav is now operating with counter service for lunch and dinner, six days a week.
