EY Global has recently appointed two senior partners from its India practice to prominent worldwide leadership positions. This signifies the firm's increasing global influence amid rapid growth in consulting, cross-border transactions, and its Indian workforce.
Ram Sarvepalli, who previously led EY India's consulting division, has been promoted to deputy global managing partner-client service. He was instrumental in establishing EY India's consulting and technology practices as the firm's largest service line and a market leader.
In a parallel development, Ajay Arora, EY India's M&A leader, has assumed the role of global M&A leader for EY-Parthenon's transactions and corporate finance practice. Arora has consistently placed EY India at the forefront of M&A league tables by deal volume over the past five years.
Rajiv Memani, chairman and CEO of EY India, noted that Arora's appointment is timely, coinciding with increased global capital flows into India and accelerating M&A activity. Arora's extensive experience in cross-border transactions is expected to bolster EY's M&A advisory capabilities for clients both in India and internationally.
