Summary
- Saket Saurabh left a ₹52 lakh annual package to start a momo business.
- The Momos Mafia business now operates across seven states.
- Saurabh advises starting with an outlet, not a stall, for bigger ventures.

Saket Saurabh, a former product manager at FlixStock, resigned from his lucrative ₹52 lakh annual package in September 2023 to pursue his entrepreneurial dream in India's burgeoning momo market. He co-founded The Momos Mafia with the vision of establishing a prominent dumpling brand across the nation.
Initially facing hurdles such as vendor harassment and operational challenges, Saurabh pivoted to a 'Cart Service Restaurant' model, focusing on establishing physical outlets alongside mobile carts. This strategic shift has fueled rapid growth, with the business now boasting 40 carts and 20 outlets spread across seven Indian states.
Since its official launch in January 2024, The Momos Mafia has achieved remarkable financial success. In its first year, Saurabh reported earnings of ₹16 lakh from January to March 2024, followed by ₹2.2 crore in the 2024-25 fiscal year. The current year has already seen ₹2.2 crore in earnings, with projections nearing ₹3 crore, totaling over ₹5 crore in approximately 2.5 years.
