30 Jan
Summary
- EOS plans to move headquarters and stock listing to Europe within a year.
- The move aims to capitalize on booming European defense spending and demand.
- Germany is a likely location, with a final decision expected by mid-2026.

Australian defense company Electro Optic Systems (EOS) is poised to shift its headquarters and stock market listing from Australia to Europe within the next year. This strategic pivot is a direct response to the substantial growth in European defense expenditures and the escalating demand for advanced drone-defense technology.
A definitive decision regarding the relocation is anticipated in the first half of 2026. Germany is emerging as a strong candidate for the new headquarters and stock exchange listing, although Amsterdam is also under consideration. This move aims to secure EOS's access to Europe's expanding defense market, particularly amid growing concerns about national sovereignty and intellectual property.
EOS's laser weapon systems offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional missile defenses against drones, with per-shot costs significantly lower. The company is also developing a 300 kW laser system capable of neutralizing missiles and rockets, in addition to drones. Several European nations are in discussions with EOS for future orders, highlighting the continent's drive to bolster its indigenous military capabilities.
