Summary
- Enhanced Games will sell peptides due to deregulation efforts.
- Investors include Donald Trump Jr. and Peter Thiel.
- The company plans an event with performance-enhancing drugs.

The company organizing the Enhanced Games, an event that permits athletes to use performance-enhancing drugs like steroids, has announced plans to sell injectable peptides. This expansion into the consumer health sector follows remarks by US health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praising peptides and indicating that the drug regulator would increase accessibility for approximately 14 such substances.
Backed by investors including Donald Trump Jr.'s 1789 Capital and Peter Thiel, the Enhanced Games is set to launch its inaugural event in Las Vegas in May. The company intends to heavily invest in the peptide market, citing its global popularity. While the FDA has historically warned of safety risks associated with many peptides and imposed restrictions, legal loopholes and imports from China have allowed wider access.
Enhanced will initially offer five peptides through an online service, with plans for eight more pending regulatory approval. These additional peptides are promoted for muscle growth, recovery, and cognitive enhancements, despite the FDA noting potentially significant safety risks and limited scientific evidence for several. Over 40 athletes have already committed to participating in the Enhanced Games, with data from the event expected to inform personalized supplement offerings.
