677 New Homes, Music Venue Rise on East Riverside

East Austin's East Riverside Drive is experiencing rapid development, marked by new construction and transformative projects. A major highlight is the upcoming 4,000-seat live music and events venue, operated by AEG Presents, scheduled to open next year. This venue is part of the 109-acre River Park development, a mixed-use project by Presidium and Partners Group, which aims to integrate housing, retail, public spaces, and live music.

The River Park development will also incorporate over 30 acres of parkland and green spaces, connecting to existing trails and parks. In addition to the venue and park areas, plans include housing and retail. Another significant development is a multifamily project at East Riverside Drive and Vargas Road, being built by River City Capital Partners and the Housing Authority of the City of Austin. This project will deliver 677 units, with half designated as income-restricted housing, and is expected to be completed by 2030.
