Dubai is introducing an innovative "Work from Park" initiative, repurposing public green spaces into flexible work environments designed to improve residents' quality of life. Launched by Dubai Municipality, this program will establish dedicated work zones within parks, catering to the growing trend of remote work and the needs of freelancers and small businesses. The project aligns with the city's long-term urban development and green space strategies, including the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.
The first 'Work from Park' site is scheduled to open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park, featuring modular workspaces constructed with sustainability in mind and designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings. This initiative is a collaboration between Dubai Municipality, Group AMANA for construction, and Letswork for operational management. Group AMANA will utilize off-site modular construction for efficiency and reduced environmental impact, while Letswork will manage booking of hot desks, studios, and event areas through its platform.
Further enhancing the project's value, the parks will host workshops, training sessions, and collaborative programs aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and fostering skills within Dubai's creative sector. This public-private partnership is poised to stimulate new investment opportunities and invigorate parks as community hubs, contributing to Dubai's vision of a flexible, sustainable, and innovation-driven urban landscape. Additional locations are slated for introduction later in 2026.
