Disney Scores Early Super Bowl Ad Sell-Out
5 Aug
Summary
- Disney sold out its advertising inventory for Super Bowl LXI.
- Upfront negotiations saw double-digit volume commitments.
- Ad market is healthy in sports but competitive in streaming.

The Walt Disney Co. has successfully sold out its advertising inventory for Super Bowl LXI, a significant milestone achieved more than six months before the event. This early sell-out surpasses previous records, with NBC and Fox completing their sales in September and November of last year, respectively.
Advertisers are investing heavily, with Disney seeking up to $10 million for a 30-second ad spot. A total of 58 brands across 34 categories have purchased ad time, including nine new advertisers. Disney is also planning integrated campaigns across its programming and at live events.
In addition to the Super Bowl success, Disney concluded its 2026-2027 upfront negotiations, reporting double-digit increases in total volume commitments and low teens growth in sports volumes. This performance highlights Disney's strength in delivering large audiences through live events and streaming.
However, the company acknowledges challenges in the broader ad market. While the sports advertising sector is described as healthy, the streaming market faces increased competition and pricing pressure due to a growing supply of ad inventory.
