Power Plants Proposed Above Dickson City
2 Jun
Summary
- Three power plant applications filed for Bell Mountain.
- Hearings delayed for proposed power generation facilities.
- Developers linked to Kriger Construction seek approvals.

Dickson City's Zoning Hearing Board will review three applications for power generation facilities proposed on Bell Mountain. These applications were filed by LLCs operating as Dickson City Power One, Two, and Three, all based in Archbald and linked to Kriger Construction Inc. The hearing, rescheduled to June 10, will address proposals at sites previously considered for data centers.
The zoning ordinance permits power generation facilities as special exceptions in the residential open space district. However, the applications offer minimal detail, lacking specifics on power output, emissions, fuel types, and for two of the three, their square footage. Basic site plans are included, but they are not fully labeled.
One application for Dickson City Power Two is near the Circle Drive-In. Dickson City Power One's plans suggest multiple facilities on property owned by Fore Up Realty, managed by Jim Marzolino. The westernmost site, behind the former Kmart, is where Dickson City Power Three seeks approval for a 775,000-square-foot plant on land owned by Mountainview DC Realty LLC, linked to Alfred Kriger Jr.
