The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has initiated stringent oversight of IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., by deploying a dedicated 'Oversight Team' to its corporate office. This move signifies a heightened level of scrutiny over the airline's operational performance and adherence to regulations.
Two distinct teams have been formed, tasked with submitting comprehensive daily reports by 6 p.m. to DGCA officials. These reports will cover a wide spectrum of operations, including fleet status, average flight distances, pilot availability, and network intricacies, alongside crew utilization and training metrics.
The second team will concentrate on flight cancellations, both domestic and international, and the efficiency of refund processing through various channels. Furthermore, it will assess on-time performance, passenger compensation mandates, and baggage handling services, ensuring all aspects meet required standards.
