Delhi Flights Grounded: Middle East Crisis Sparks Chaos

At least 100 international flights were cancelled at Delhi airport on Sunday, significantly disrupting air travel. Airlines are currently facing operational challenges directly linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis. This resulted in the cancellation of 60 international departures and 40 arrivals.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which operates the Indira Gandhi International Airport, issued a notice. It stated that west-bound international flights might experience disruptions or schedule changes. This advisory is a direct consequence of the evolving political situation in the Middle East.
Earlier, the Civil Aviation Ministry indicated that domestic carriers were expected to cancel approximately 444 international flights on the same day. The Indira Gandhi International Airport is India's largest airport, handling over 1,300 flight movements daily.
