This week marked a key milestone with a topping out ceremony, celebrating the completion of the building's highest point. Dover District Council leader Kevin Mills described the progress as "excellent" and the new facility as a "major investment for our community."
The comprehensive leisure centre will offer a wide range of amenities, including a six-lane swimming pool, a modern gym, various health and fitness studios, and a dedicated toddler splash pad. Catering to diverse needs, the centre will also feature enhanced accessibility provisions.
These accessibility features include a new platform lift and a fully equipped changing places toilet facility, designed to accommodate disabled individuals. Representatives from Dover District Council, alongside project partners such as the developer, construction contractor, and future operator Everyone Active, attended the topping out ceremony, where they signed the steel frame.
