The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is implementing a significant strategy to boost housing demand in Narela with its Karmayogi Awaas Yojana 2025. This scheme offers a substantial 25% discount on 1,168 newly constructed flats, marking one of the steepest price reductions by the DDA. The initiative targets serving and retired government employees, presenting a rare opportunity to acquire homes at considerably lower prices and aiming to clear long-pending inventory.
The Karmayogi Awaas Yojana features flats available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with 1 BHK units priced around ₹34 lakh, 2 BHKs between ₹79.81 lakh and ₹88.16 lakh, and 3 BHKs from ₹114.57 lakh to ₹127.11 lakh after the discount. A nominal registration fee and a booking amount are required. This approach signals a shift towards faster sales and encouraging settlement, potentially impacting private developers in the Delhi-NCR region.
Registration for the scheme opens on December 19, 2025, through the DDA Awaas Portal, with bookings commencing January 14, 2026, and concluding March 31, 2026. The market's response will serve as a crucial test for the DDA's strategy of using steep discounts and relaxed norms to unlock housing demand in peripheral urban centers.
