- This marks the company's fifth successful ECB syndication in five years.

Microfinance lender CreditAccess Grameen recently finalized a significant financial transaction, securing $175 million through a syndicated social loan facility. This funding qualifies as an External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) under the Reserve Bank of India's automatic route, with Standard Chartered Bank and DBS Bank serving as joint mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners.
The facility attracted a diverse group of ten participating financial institutions from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Despite prevailing global macroeconomic uncertainties and intense competition within the ECB market, the transaction garnered a strong response, achieving competitive loan pricing. This success underscores international lenders' continued confidence in CreditAccess Grameen's robust business model and its high corporate governance standards.
This recent syndication represents CreditAccess Grameen's fifth successful ECB transaction in the past five years, accumulating a total of $640 million in funds mobilized through such avenues. As of the reporting date, foreign borrowings constitute approximately 24% of the company's liability profile. During the fiscal year 2027, the company also successfully raised ₹940 crore through private placements of non-convertible debentures (NCDs), further diversifying its funding sources.
