Burt Wealth Advisors, founded in 1985, will see its president and CEO, Fred Cornelius, along with 13 staff members, transition to the Creative Planning brand.
The deal highlights Creative Planning's continued expansion efforts, marking its 15th acquisition in the last two years. The firm, already a major player in wealth management, is integrating this new entity while continuing the assimilation of Sageview Advisory Group, which has substantial assets primarily in retirement plan funds.
Founded in 1985, Burt Wealth Advisors specializes in comprehensive financial planning, including tax reduction, education funding, and estate planning. Their integration signifies Creative Planning's commitment to growth and enhanced client services. The acquisition was advised by the boutique investment bank Gorman Jones.
