Children's Services Face £5.5M Budget Crisis

Hartlepool Borough Council has issued a stark warning that its children's services department is projected to exceed its budget by over £5.5 million this financial year. The authority's finance chiefs have indicated that the deficit has already surpassed initial June forecasts by £1 million, with potential for further increases.
