Commvault Integrates With CrowdStrike for Faster Recovery
6 Sep
Summary
- Commvault's recovery actions now native to CrowdStrike's SOAR workflows.
- New integration allows security teams to trigger data recovery directly.
- Commvault reported 16% subscription revenue growth in its latest quarter.

Commvault announced on August 31, 2026, that its cyber recovery actions can now be executed as native steps within CrowdStrike's Charlotte Agentic SOAR workflows. This integration allows security teams to trigger data recovery directly from their incident response tools, significantly speeding up breach response.
The new connector enables joint customers to restrict unauthorized changes during active incidents, suspend backup data aging policies, and restore compromised assets into a secure environment for forensic analysis. This development addresses a historical gap where security and recovery teams operated in silos.
This partnership deepens Commvault's relationship with CrowdStrike, following earlier integrations with Falcon Insight XDR and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM. The announcement comes as Commvault reported a strong fiscal first quarter for 2027, with subscription revenue up 16% year-over-year to $267 million and SaaS revenue surpassing $100 million for the first time.
Despite robust growth figures, Commvault's GAAP operating margin was 8.2%, significantly lower than its non-GAAP margin of 22.8%. The company anticipates a slight decrease in its non-GAAP EBIT margin for the second quarter. Full-year targets project subscription revenue between $1.119 billion and $1.129 billion.
