CIE Automotive has completed the acquisition of Aludec, S.A., purchasing 100% of its share capital for an enterprise value of €200 million. This significant transaction was financed entirely through CIE Automotive's currently available cash reserves and represents a multiple of approximately five times Aludec's current year EBITDA.
Aludec operates ten manufacturing facilities across Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and the United States, employing around 1,300 individuals. The company is a specialized supplier of decorative plastic and metal components for both interior and exterior automotive applications, with expected sales reaching approximately €160 million in 2025.
This move strategically establishes a new aesthetic components (branding) division within CIE Automotive, broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its global supply capabilities. Aludec's strong profitability, financial standing, and cash generation align well with CIE Automotive's operational strengths and diversification strategy.
