30 Jul
Summary
- Profit declined slightly in June quarter due to a nearly 12% revenue drop.
- EBITDA rose and margins expanded significantly despite lower sales.
- The company proposed a final dividend of ₹6 per equity share.

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals reported a modest 4.6% year-on-year decrease in consolidated net profit for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. The company posted a profit of ₹544 crore, down from ₹549 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations saw a significant drop of 11.8%, falling to ₹5,027 crore from ₹5,698 crore.
Despite the revenue shortfall, the company achieved stronger operating profitability. Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 11.8% to ₹851 crore, with EBITDA margins expanding impressively to 16.9% from 13.3% in the prior year's corresponding quarter. This indicates enhanced cost control and improved realisations.
The June-quarter results follow a strong performance in the March 2026 quarter, which saw a 29.8% rise in net profit. The company's board has recommended a final dividend of ₹6 per equity share, subject to shareholder approval at the annual general meeting.
