Cash App Launches AI Chatbot and Expands Bitcoin Payment Options
13 Nov
Summary
- Cash App introduces Moneybot, an AI assistant to analyze user finances
- New features allow discovering Bitcoin-accepting merchants and paying in BTC
- Cash App Green program offers enhanced benefits for high-spending customers

In a major update, Cash App has introduced a range of new features as of November 2025. The most notable addition is Moneybot, an AI-powered chatbot assistant that can analyze users' financial data and provide personalized insights and recommendations.
Moneybot will be available to select customers initially, with broader rollout planned in the coming months. Users can ask the chatbot questions about their income, expenses, and spending habits, and receive detailed reports to help them manage their finances more effectively. The bot also surfaces suggestions for actions like splitting bills or requesting money from others.
Alongside the Moneybot launch, Cash App has expanded its Bitcoin-related offerings. Customers can now discover local merchants that accept Bitcoin payments and use their US dollar balances to pay in the cryptocurrency without having to hold any Bitcoin themselves. This is facilitated through Cash App's integration with the Lightning Network, a layer-2 payment system built on top of Bitcoin.
Furthermore, Cash App is introducing a new benefits program called Cash App Green. Customers who either spend $500 or more per month using the Cash App Card or Cash App Pay, or receive deposits of at least $300, will qualify for enhanced perks. These include higher borrowing limits, free overdraft coverage, free ATM withdrawals, and up to 3.5% annual percentage yield on savings balances.
Block, the parent company of Cash App and Square, has been actively promoting Bitcoin adoption through these new features and services. The company is also planning to allow customers to send and receive stablecoins through the app in the near future.
