Initially, Broomfield commuted eight hours weekly to build a one-bedroom A-frame cabin, costing approximately $90,000. This flagship property, featuring a distinctive motorized bed that extends into the woods, began renting on Airbnb for $60 per night and now commands between $380 and $700 nightly.
Following the A-frame's success, Broomfield built a treehouse cabin in November 2019, which generated $151,966 in revenue in 2024. He later added the Birch Falls Spa Cabin in 2021, which earned $120,227 that same year.
Operating costs for the three cabins amount to roughly $8,000 monthly for payroll and staff, plus $18,000 annually for property taxes and $700 monthly for utilities. By September 2025, his cabins had earned him $2.1 million since the first listing in 2018. Broomfield continues to expand Evergreen Cabins with two more structures, viewing it as a future family business.
