British Airways is set to reintroduce flights to Tanzania for its summer 2027 schedule, with services commencing on May 29, 2027. This marks a return to East African routes not flown in 14 years, departing from London Gatwick.
The flights will travel to Kilimanjaro International Airport before continuing to Zanzibar, operating each Monday, Thursday, and Saturday until October 31. Passengers can anticipate exploring Kilimanjaro's national park, the Northern Safari Circuit including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, famous for the Big 5.
Zanzibar offers pristine beaches, vibrant marine life, UNESCO-listed Stone Town, and aromatic spice plantations. Return flights from Zanzibar to London Gatwick are scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with fares starting at £849.
This expansion also includes increased capacity to destinations like Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile, alongside more flights to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, San José, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, and Cape Town, enhancing global connectivity.
