28 Feb
Summary
- Brazil partially reversed recent import tariff increases.
- Zero tariff restored for data center components and other goods.
- Government cites fiscal targets and industry requests for changes.

Brazil's government has implemented a partial rollback of import tariff increases that were enacted earlier this year. The Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services announced the revised policy, which reinstates a zero-tariff status for 105 previously taxed items.
These items include essential components for data center cooling, such as refrigeration compressors, and equipment for power infrastructure connections. The government also reinstated exemptions for goods unrelated to data centers, responding to requests from industries like textiles and medical equipment.
