BMW Motorrad India has introduced the M 1000 R supersport roadster, priced at Rs 33.50 lakh. This new model integrates superbike power with roadster aesthetics, featuring advanced electronics and a motorsport-inspired design. Its aggressive stance includes M Winglets for enhanced high-speed stability and optimized brake cooling ducts.
The M 1000 R is powered by a 999 cc inline-four engine that generates 210 hp and 113 Nm of torque. This engine utilizes BMW's ShiftCam technology for improved performance across the rev range, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h.
Equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display and multiple riding modes, the motorcycle offers features like Dynamic Traction Control with wheelie assist and launch control. It competes with rivals such as the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Kawasaki Z H2.
Pre-bookings are open, with deliveries slated to begin in May 2026. The motorcycle is available in specific color schemes and offers an optional M Competition Package with carbon fibre components and M Carbon wheels.
