- The power law model indicates potential support near $56,000.
- Some traders predict a possible decline to $29,000.

Bitcoin's price trajectory is under renewed scrutiny, as Jurrien Timmer, Fidelity's global macro director, suggests the cryptocurrency might be entering another accumulation phase. His analysis, based on Bitcoin's long-term power law model, points to potential support levels near $56,000.
This perspective emerges amidst a lively debate among traders regarding Bitcoin's potential price floor. Some market participants interpret the same analytical charts as indicating room for a more significant decline, forecasting a drop as low as $29,000.
Timmer noted that Bitcoin's current trading price was nearing its power law support line. This model, which plots historical price action within a valuation channel, currently shows the support line around $56,500. Historically, Bitcoin has seen prolonged periods below this trendline during bear markets before recovering.
Previous "accumulation zones" identified by the lower section of this chart have historically coincided with major market bottoms, such as the low of $15,476 in 2022. However, not all analysts share Timmer's optimistic outlook. Some traders argue that the chart allows for a substantial drop, citing Bitcoin's history of drawdowns between 70% and 85% from cycle highs before establishing a lasting bottom.
Concerns about Bitcoin's bottom have been ongoing for months. In June, blockchain analytics firm CryptoQuant indicated that Bitcoin was approaching a potential market bottom near $53,600. Nevertheless, they emphasized that demand conditions had not yet confirmed a lasting reversal.
