BEL Shares Dip Post Q1 Results: Profit Plummets 52%

Navratna PSU defence company Bharat Electronics (BEL) saw its share price decrease by over 3% on the NSE on Tuesday. This dip followed the company's announcement of its April-June quarter results for the fiscal year 2027.
The company reported a notable 52.4% decline in net profit on a quarter-on-quarter basis, falling to ₹2,203 crore from the March quarter's figures.
However, BEL's revenue from operations demonstrated year-on-year growth, climbing 25.3% to ₹5,533 crore in Q1 FY27 compared to ₹4,417 crore in the same period last year. Operating at the EBITDA level, the company registered a 12% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹1,389 crore. Despite this growth, the EBITDA margin experienced a slight narrowing to 25.11% from 28% in Q1 FY26.
