Effective July 1, 2026, Bank of Singapore has appointed Lim Leong Guan as its new head of private banking for the Middle East, South Asia, and International markets. Guan will be based in Dubai and is also slated to become the chief executive of the bank's Dubai International Financial Centre branch, pending regulatory approval.
This strategic move bolsters the bank's senior private banking leadership across key global markets. Guan brings extensive experience, with 35 years in private banking, covering front-office roles, investment products, and wealth advisory.
Prior to this appointment, Guan served as global head of financial intermediaries, family office, and wealth advisory. Under his leadership, assets under management from the financial intermediaries segment more than doubled since 2024, and revenue from insurance referrals also saw significant growth. He also spearheaded the Bank of Singapore Family Office Catalyst initiative launched in 2025.
Lim joined Bank of Singapore in 2020 and has been a vital part of its management committee. His previous roles include global head of products and 25 years at UBS Wealth Management, where he held significant positions in Asia-Pacific wealth planning and Singapore investment products. Annabelle Chow will now assume the global segment lead for financial intermediaries, reporting to Vi Sun Yang, who joins as head of private banking for ASEAN on June 29, 2026.
