18 Jul
Summary
- Bank of Baroda's stock shows a consistent dividend increase since FY22.
- BOB's FY26 net profit reached ₹20,070 crore with strong asset quality.
- The bank's operational cash flow adequately covers dividend payouts.

Bank of Baroda (BOB) has demonstrated a commitment to increasing its dividend payouts, with the amount paid in FY26 reaching ₹8.5 per share, a nearly threefold increase from FY22. This consistent rise follows a period of balance sheet stress where no dividends were paid between FY18 and FY22.
The bank's financial performance in FY26 was strong, marked by a net profit of ₹20,070 crore. Its asset quality has improved significantly, reaching multi-year lows with a Gross Non-Performing Asset (GNPA) ratio of 1.89% and a Net Non-Performing Asset (NNPA) ratio of 0.45%.
BOB's global business asset grew to ₹30.8 lakh crore by the end of FY26. The bank's operational cash flow for FY26 was ₹33,426.1 crore, which is more than sufficient to cover the proposed dividend payout of ₹4,395.7 crore.
Internationally, BOB operates 80 overseas offices across 15 countries. Domestically, it manages 8,648 branches, with a strategic distribution favoring rural and semi-urban areas to enhance financial inclusion.
Factors supporting sustained dividend payments include a robust credit growth environment in India, digital transformation initiatives like the BOB World application, and a healthy Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) of approximately 127% and a Capital-to-Risk Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) of 15.8%.
