- Acquisitions are being considered as an option for U.S. market entry.

Banijay, now the world's largest independent studio after merging with All3Media, is strategically targeting expansion into the U.S. scripted television market. Executive Chairman Jeff Zucker emphasized the company's readiness for this move, citing ample capital and ambition to capitalize on new opportunities.
The combined entity boasts extensive production capabilities, housing renowned shows like "The Traitors" and "Big Brother." Banijay's CEO, Marco Bassetti, noted the company's current strong presence in Europe and Brazil but acknowledged limited inroads in the U.S. scripted sector, a gap they intend to fill.
Discussions around future growth have included the possibility of strategic acquisitions to bolster their U.S. presence. This ambition follows a period of significant industry consolidation, with Banijay and All3Media creating a powerhouse with over $8 billion in pro forma revenues.
Bassetti expressed confidence in Banijay's competitive position, stating it can now rival major European and U.S. studios. The merger, initiated by Bassetti in early 2024, followed All3Media's acquisition by RedBird IMI and came after ITV Studios' own discussions with RedBird IMI concluded without a deal.
